Simeon Stoichkov was born on 1975 in Sofia. He learns to play chess at the age of 5.
In the period of 1986-1990 Simeon is trained and plays at the chess “Children and Youth School ” at Sport Club “Locomotive” in Sofia.
In 1987 he is a gold medal winner on board at the National Team Championship for young players.
In 1988 Stoichkov shares 3-8 places at “Sea Horse” in Varna (in the group up to 14 years) and for the first time fulfils the norm for a candidate-master. At the beginning of 1990 stops his competition activity after the liquidation of children and youth chess in “Locomotive” Sofia.
In 1990 he finishes with excellent diploma Primary school No.3 “Marin Drinov” in Sofia.
In 1993 Stoichkov finishes with excellent diploma Secondary school No.22 “Georgi Sava Rakovski” in Sofia.
In the same year he is accepted (second in the list) as a student at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in specialty “Bulgarian philology”.
In 1995 Stoichkov shares 6-11 places at the Sofia Open Championship for men and fulfils the master norm.
In 1998 he is accepted with excellent marks as a student in “Chess” specialty at the Trainers faculty of the National Sport Academy “Vasil Levski”. In 2002 Stoichkov graduates from it with excellent diploma, MA work titled: “Metamorphosis of chess in the Eastern cultures”.
In 2001 he participates in the concept making of “Chess in school” magazine (an edition of the Bulgarian Chess Federation), author in the first numbers.
In the same year he is one of the trainers, who prepared the team of Sofia – gold winner of the School Olympiad in Regio Emiglia. Stoichkov initiates and organizes the chain of tournaments “ Children Trophy National Sport Academy ” – 7 editions.

In 2000-2003 Stoichkov is a director of the Chess School at the National Palace of Children and is one of the initiators of Children Olympiad “Sport against drugs”. Organizer of a 64 boards seance on occasion of the First of June 2001.
From 2001 he proceeds with chess education in some elite schools in Sofia .
In 2002 he is accepted as an arbiter Republic category. Stoichkov referees at the National Individual Championship (semi-final and final) in Bankia 2002, at the European Team Championship for men in Plovdiv 2003 and at many other tournaments.
Stoichkov is a chief arbiter and organizer at the finals of the Sofia School Team Championships in 2002,
2004 and 2007 (the biggest chess tournament in Bulgaria for the year!) as well as a chief arbiter at the National Individual Championship for girls in Dupnitza 2005.
Simeon initiates Art Sport Talent Foundation and is its executive director.
In 2004 Stoichkov together with Vladimir Georgiev writes the book “Antoaneta Stefanova 20 years and 20 days on the road to the crown” (Ciela Soft and Publishing)
The book has a parallel English translation and already
have a widespread on the all continents.
Simeon is the
author of publication on enjoying a good name Bulgarian's and others medias.
Stoichkov is correspondent for New In Chess - the best chess magazine on the world.
2006 year he
published. "Twelve moons" - the book is a special combination of
authors chess graphic
and photo art and this is the first Bulgarian edition of its kind with a CD.
